Tai Chi for Fall Prevention Class at the Lourie Center

Tuesdays AND Thursdays, 10–11 am, May 3–August 4, 2016

Tai Chi is designed to improve cardiovascular fitness or stamina and muscular strength, thereby helping to prevent falls and to improve flexibility and balance. Tai Chi is a form of martial arts that involves low impact and slow, controlled movements.  The Lourie Center is offering a twelve-week program specifically created to prevent falls and enhance balance while incorporating the elements of Tai Chi.  Class meets Tuesdays AND Thursdays, 10–11 am, from May 3–August 4, 2016. The cost is $90 per person and is open to all older adults.  No prior tai chi experience is required. No class May 24, 26, June 14, 16.  Joseph Whiting, certified instructor will lead the classes.

Registrations will be accepted during the first three weeks of class.
